Digital image (300 dpi)

This work explores the intricate relationship between the physical body, identity, and the sensation of touch, particularly in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. Utilising digital equipment, this project aims to capture images that reveal the gendered body through a unique lens, focusing on unclothing as a means of exposing the complexity of our bodily presence.

By projecting an image of my hands onto an unclothed gendered body, the project seeks to evoke this sensation of physical touch, emphasising its absence during a time marked by social distancing and limited human contact. Through this visual representation, the project invites viewers to reflect on their own experiences of touch and the impact of physical presence on one's sense of self and identity.

In essence, this project is a visual exploration of the human body as a vessel for identity expression and its interplay with physical touch. By confronting viewers with thought-provoking imagery created during a time of global crisis, the project aims to foster introspection, dialogue, and a renewed appreciation for the complex relationship between the body, presence, and identity in our ever-changing world.
